How do I configure Outlook for BSD Exchange?
1. If you are using the Classic Start Menu: from the Start menu select Settings > Control Panel.
2. If you are using the Windows XP Start Menu: from the Start menu select Control Panel.
Note: If the control panel is in Category View (The window will have a blue background and “Pick a Category will be displayed at the top of the window), select Switch to classic view in the upper left-hand corner.
3. Double-click the Mail icon.

In the Mail Setup window, click the E-mail Accounts button.

In the E-mail Accounts window, select Add a new e-mail account and click Next.

Select Microsoft Exchange Server and click Next.

Enter the name of the Microsoft Exchange Server (adm-exchvs01.bsd.uchicago.edu) in the Microsoft Exchange Server field.
8. Enter your User name in the User Name field. This is normally your first initial followed by the first seven characters of your last name.
9. Click the Check Name button. If a successful connection was made, your full name will be displayed and it will be underlined.
10. Click Next, then Finish.
11. You should now be back at the “Mail Setup” screen.
To ensure that mail is being delivered to the correct location:
1.
Click the Email Accounts button.
2. Select View or change existing e-mail accounts and click Next.
3. Check that the appropriate “Mailbox-<lastname, firstname>” is displayed in the Deliver new mail to the following location box. If it is not, select it from the drop-down list. 
4. Click Finish
5. Open Outlook – You are now configured to send and receive e-mail!
