What hardware do you support?

BSDIS supports hardware under warranty from Dell and Apple.

On the Dell side, BSDIS supports the Optiplex (desktop) and Latitude (laptop) lines. BSD technicians are certified to order parts for these machines. Read more...

BSDIS supports Mac (current OS X version & one prior); please note that actual hardware support is handled via the Campus Computer Store.

To simplify the hardware selection process for some of our customers, BSDIS has several hardware combinations ("bundles") which can be ordered directly through the Campus Computer Store (CCS).

** NOTE: Support is not limited to these models only; we will work with customers to specify a system that best meets their needs and assist in the purchasing process.


Printers
The two supported printer vendors are HP and Xerox. Peer-to-peer printing is not supported.


Handhelds
BSDIS supports handheld devices which can securely connect to the BSD Exchange (email & calendar) environment. Models are available from most major carriers; please call us at 2-2056 if you would like to consult with us on your needs.

In order to provide efficient and effective service, BSDIS must focus on a limited number of hardware configurations and operating systems. BSDIS engineers are trained on Dell hardware and can do warranty repairs on site.

The supported desktop and laptop vendors are Dell (Optiplex/Latitude only) and Apple.
