I left my desk and when I came back my computer asked me for my user name and password, why?

 The BSD security policies require that your workstation “lock-out” after 15 minutes of idle time. This is to protect your sensitive data from being used while you’re away. It is a standard security feature and is applied on all BSD workstations.
