Online IS Request System now available to many BSDIS customers

January 2007

Customers who have been migrated to the Divisional Active Directory environment will be able to enter their support requests online 24 hours a day, seven days a week, without calling the Service Desk.

The service (available via a link on the BSDIS website) has been available to customers in Psychiatry and the old "BSD-Dean" domain for some time, but thanks to the new Active Directory structure, the service can now be expanded to Medicine and Pediatrics as well.

The BSDIS system (TrackIt!) allows customers to enter in online support requests, and track the status of their open requests, all without picking up the phone.

Since requests submitted online are often more thorough than emails submitted to the Service Desk, requests can often be processed much faster. With that being said, critical requests should always be called in to the Service Desk to minimize potential delays.
