I will be moving offices. Will you move my machine? What else do I need to know before move day?

While we are unable to physically move machines from one location to another, we will help you set it up once it's in its new location.

There are other ways in which we can help you prepare for moving day:

If you notify us of the new location of the machine(s), we can help you figure out whether the data jack is active and whether a new IP address is needed. Both of these items are procured via NSIT, so the more notice we have that you are moving, the more likely it is that we can get these items set up for you in a timely fashion.

For larger moves (i.e. of a whole office), we would like to establish one central point of contact in your area. This way, the Service Desk Analyst can get all the information for all the computer moves at once, minimizing confusion and the possibility of errors or delays.
